Anderson Direct first contacted me
in 1998 when they were still Anderson
Print & Mail. The CEO, Ted Tietge, had
collected a series of postcards I mailed out
as part of my mass mailing program.
Eventually
he called me to develop a brochure for the company and help with their
transition to their new identity as Anderson Direct. The original brochure
design was a booklet of sturdy card stock,
round in shape to match the
new Anderson Direct logo. The 16 pages resulted in whole slew of original
designs and circular illustrations. I scheduled a photo shoot of the key personnel and
company management. The resulting portrait photography was beautiful. However, the rather unwieldy brochure/booklet was never produced, proving much too costly to be effective and very difficult to manufacture. The pages were to be die-cut and the booklet hand-assembled.

But you can see the revised version that was printed, as well as selected illustrations from the original. The revised tri-fold brochure is much simpler and cleaner. Unfortunately I only have this one side left.

On the right we have this diagram describing
one of Anderson Direct's specialties: fulfillment.
That's where a complex project is compiled
together and finished at the same time.
The pieces don't necessarily have
to go into the same package but
they are
usually inter-related
somehow, a characteristic of
marketing campaigns. In the
illustration the central theme is
a stuffed folder packet where all
the components are neatly nestled
together before they are mailed out.
You can see there's quite alot of printed
materials. Anderson
Direct does all this
stuff, starting with overall marketing strategy,
data mining, product design, printing and finishing,
and finally mailing the packets out in bulk.
The artwork below was created for the original brochure and was one of a few pieces to make it to the new brochure. It describes variable data color printing in which variable content can be printed on the fly for each recipient.

I've also designed signage, stationery and other miscellaneous business materials for Anderson Direct but I wouldn't want to bore you with all this stuff.

Vehicle decal design for Ted Tietge, CEO of Anderson Direct and also a pro racing driver. The effect was to make it look like the Porsche had run into the company's logo and splattered it all over.
A series of airbrushed concept illustrations were also produced to demonstrate the artwork to the client.

Design for an invitation to Anderson Direct's open house following its move into a new, larger facility.
The artwork over in the left column was for a postcard invitation to a special event following the company's move into a new, larger facility where all their equipment and personnel could be housed.

The artwork for a preliminary postcard that was followed by the official invitation above.

An ornamental design for Anderson Direct's Christmas card. I created this as a 3D model based on the company's logo.
