Designing big flashy trade show booths is second nature after nearly 10 years creating large-format displays. The examples in this section are primarily printed materials applied to durable plastic structures and assembled at showtime. Other related projects include numerous signs, posters, interior decoration and an office mural. In all cases I developed the design, managed the production and assisted with installation.
Some examples of large-format prints and trade show booth designs are presented below. In some cases I was unable to attend the show and company officials took the photos shown.
Modern trade show booth designs are often free of printed signage, made primarily of lightweight plastics, glass and metalwork, furniture and props. Designed to create an atmosphere, more elaborate sets include an elevated area that affords a view where host and prospect can escape the busy show floor and forge a partnership. A trade show booth design is only limited by imagination and budget. My imagination is unlimited. What does your budget allow?
A set of large-format print designs for TG Publishing's booth for the annual Computex trade show in Taipei. One large sign at 5' x 4' and three matching posters at 2' x 3'.
M7 Networks, now part of Motricity, needed a set of matching posters to go side-by-side in their BREW trade show booth. When printed, the panels each measured 7 feet high and about 3 feet across. A matching video presentation was also developed to describe M7's key services to attendees of the trade show. As is desired of a trade show booth design, the overall effect was eye-catching and the client reported great success and excellent leads from the event.
A series of posters were developed for TG Publishing's trade show booth in Computex 2006 in Taipei, Taiwan. I gave them a bold, high-tech look with Matrix-style Chinese characters in the background. Most of the content was business graphics and the whole effect was very clean and crisp, and designed to appeal to the tech-oriented visitors at Computex. They were mounted within preset frames as part of the booth design.
